AIM OF THE PROJECT:

• Supporting workers whose labour and social rights are violated and disseminating key information on self-protection.

• Launching cases of mass violations of labour rights into the wider media space.

• Monitoring the work of those responsible (employers, inspectors, politicians, officials) and highlighting key system errors.

• Transgression of the ‘ITHER-OR' thinking horison; "Either workers' rights or a stable economy."

• Connecting partners and building a common Collection of Knowledge and Advice.

STATISTICS OF PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS:

• 50 responses of institutions in charge to reports of violations filed by workers with the support of the Counseling Office for Workers and the Movement for Decent Work and Welfare Society.
  The responses include:
  – Decision of the Committee of the National Assembly on Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Disability on the urgent strengthening of the Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia for Labour and Protection against Illegal Exploitation, adopted in July 2022 when dealing with violations at the fish packing plant Marinblu&Selea. (The case was made public with the support of the COUNSELING OFFICE FOR WORKERS as part of the project’s activities. )
  – 14th meeting of the Committee of the National Assembly on Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Disability of 17 May 2023, Item 2: Re-examination of the decisions taken at the 2nd emergency meeting . . . The case of Marinblu and Selea: urgent strengthening of the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia and protection of workers against illegal exploitation.

• 52 publications by other media: reports on activities of Counseling Office for Workers and reports on activities of Movement for Decent Work and Welfare Society.

• Dissemination and communication via online networks: reach over 90 000 people.

• RŠ audience: 10 000 people / day (estimate).
