is characterised by the ability to creatively bridge the gap between social theory, fieldwork and artistic creativity. As well as experience in bringing together actors from different professional backgrounds: social sciences, arts, computing, activism.
It was established with the following aims and objectives:
- studying the material conditions of life;
- studying the economy, the labour market, education, science, culture and general development;
- informing the interested public and offering basic political economy skills;
- cultural and artistic activities;
- encouraging film, drawing, music and other creative skills and sensibilities;
- encouraging and promoting the projects, the members and the values for which the Society stands.
The association was founded in 2013 and 2014 by the Reality Group, which came together during the economic downturn in 2012. The Group brings together individuals from diverse professional backgrounds; sociology, history, philosophy, film and fine arts, in a common desire to respond publicly and argumentatively to policies of austerity cuts to public services.
